Pantry Update

I know you've all been losing sleep wondering what I'm going to make with the Lemon Curd...

The fish tacos were fab, Big Boy, the three pound meatloaf took us three days to eat (day 2 and 3 were grilled meatloaf sammies on kaiser rolls with cheese - YUM).  Last night I turned the whole wheat fettucine into fettucine carbonara and the lemon curd, well...

I found this recipe in an old Everyday Food.  I skipped the dessert wine as we were fresh out, but I still think it will be okay.  I used the whole jar of lemon curd and the whole package of lady fingers.  It is currently chilling and will make an appearance at my quilt club gathering this afternoon...

Katy, I am not as ambitious as you clearly think I am.  The puff dough will probably become cinnamon rolls. 

I started my culinary education journey in pastry school and I am still scarred by the memory of the chef walking over to my work table, looking at me, looking at my lumpy, misshapen puff dough and summarily throwing it in the trash, saying "again!"  I am a pastry school dropout in the truest sense.

  1. I was going to suggest lemon curd on toast or an English muffin, but that seemed so lame compared to Katy's suggestions!
