Went to a party over the weekend that had some former colleagues...there was lots of talk of new jobs and interviews and a sort of buzz that things are moving on. without me.
It was the first time I've felt insecure or weird about being home. I haven't figured out yet if I actually care or if it's just my pride. This is what suddenly being sahm is all about.

Look at everything you have done in the last six months Jen.
ReplyDeleteWork has never and will never identify you. The happy little faces of your kids in the pictures you post, your amazing relationship with your hubby, creative outlets for your mind and soul (quilting, blog, cooking, etc) is what matters at the end of the day.
You are a great person with so much to share with your friends and family. You are doing the most important job right now. When you are ready to go back, go because you want to, not because others are doing it.
Your next employer (whenever that may be) will be lucky to have you!
