Limbo

Limbo...that's what I think of this week between Christmas and New Year's.  It's like time stands still.  I don't know what to do with myself...cook?  Nope, I cooked everything but my family and furniture leading up to Christmas...Clean?  Well, I'll have to do a major clean after the decorations come down on New Year's Day anyway, right?  Reminisce about 2009?  Do all those little life chores I've been ignoring for the last two weeks?

In the old days, I would be working this week.  It would be slow with lots of people out.  They would be short days with long lunches.  Every now and again I find something I don't know how to do at home because I am accustomed to being at work.  The day after Thanksgiving is one and now this week.

This time is no man's land.  It doesn't feel like part of either year to me.  I guess a project is what I need.  Think I'll go do a puzzle with Big Red.  Maybe it will help me put the pieces of my mind back together.

Bless you for reading this disjointed, inarticulate post.  How do you spend the time between Christmas and New Year's?
